Military Chest w/Shadow Box tray or Flag Display

This Military chest is made from solid Pine. It measures 24 x 12-3/4 x 11-3/4″ inches tall. The box was stained two-tone, inside we used red Mahogany, and Expresso on the outside slots.

We stenciled the service member’s rank and last name, and placed an Eagle, Globe and Anchor (EGA) centered beneath.  As you open the chest you will notice a framed 8 x 10 Unit Logo. Inside is a removable shadowbox tray.

There is 5″ clearance beneath the tray. We used 5/8″ ropes as the handles. We’ve weather sealed the chest to promote many years of joyful use.

The included Shadowbox tray measures 19 x 9-1/2 x 2″ deep. The shadowbox is painted in the Marine Corps NCO colors, and is centered by an EGA. Beneath that is the service member’s ribbons, and beneath that is stenciled piece displaying the Marine’s rank and last name. This shadowbox can be easily removed and mounted on a wall or as a desk piece. On the left side you will notice a personal message, and on the right side is another picture of the unit’s logo. The shadowbox is enclosed behind plexiglass.

Sideshow Crates

These boxes were made for a customer on the left coast (California) who wanted to display and safeguard some artwork. The boxes are made of 1/2-inch sanded plywood, measuring 8″ x 12″ x 8″.

The boxes were stained, and a circus tent was painted on the top of the box. The boxes were designed to reflect Freakshow Train Carts carrying ‘live cargo.’ You can see the side of the boxes look like oddity posters with The Bearded Woman, Toad Boy, etc.

Marine Corps NCO Sword Display

These NCO Sword Displays are made from solid wood, as going away/retirement gifts for Marines. The sword display is made from pine wood, and stained to the recipient’s color of choice. Sword displays vary in size, as the Marine’s sword ranges in length. We’ve added the Marine’s rank insignia, decoupaged on a piece of 3/4″ wood. The Marine’s name and dates of service are stenciled in a plank of wood, with routed edges. Lastly, an eagle, globe and anchor are placed in the center.

Law Enforcement Retirement Shadowbox

Rustic Wooden Ice Chest/Cooler

This wooden ice chest was made for my mentor as a retirement gift. The Rustic Ice Chest Cooler is stained Ebony on the outside, and Golden Pecan on the inside. The family last name is stenciled in the front, centered. We then clear coated the cooler to protect it against the elements.  There is a cast-iron bottle opener on the right side of the cooler, along with a spigot to drain the cooler without having to tilt it over. On the bottom we have a slotted shelf to place plates, sodas, beers, etc.

The following Christmas after making my first Rustic Ice Chest Cooler I received two more orders for a similar cooler, except, even bigger! This Rustic Ice Chest Cooler is stained Expresso on the outside, and Golden Pecan on the inside. The cooler measures 33 x 21 x 38″ tall.

 Rustic Wooden Ice Chest/Cooler (Texans)

This wooden ice chest was made for a fellow Marine Corps veteran, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and despite his bad taste in football teams (he’s a Texans’ fan 😉 ) an overall awesome man.

The Rustic Ice Chest Cooler is stained Ebony on the outside, and Golden Pecan on the inside. The State of Texas is handprinted in the front, centered. We then clear coated the cooler to protect it against the elements.  There is a cast-iron bottle opener on the right side of the cooler, along with a spigot to drain the cooler without having to tilt it over. On the bottom we have a slotted shelf to place plates, sodas, beers, etc.

The cooler measures 33 x 21 x 38″ tall.

Wood encased Mini-fridge

This item is a perfect gift for your own sports cave. Our customer ordered a mini-fridge and had it encased in wood, with the intent to resemble a wooden shipping crate. We then hand-painted the NJ Devils logo (Hockey anyone?) on the front. This was a very fun project to make, and we are proud of the way it turned out. The mini-fridge measures 21 x 20 x 22-1/2″

Marine Corps Shadowbox

As tradition often calls, Military service members extend their gratitude to their brothers and sisters by offering personalized gifts as the service member retires and/or moves to another unit. As these Marines were leaving their respective units, we were honored to be entrusted with presenting these two different shadowboxes.

This box measures 18″ x 12″ and 2-1/2 inches deep. The box was stained two-tone, inside we used Golden Pecan, and on the outside we used Red Mahogany. In the background you can see the blue and red NCO blood-stripe.

We decoupaged two pieces of MDF with the Marine’s rank insignia. Centered is the Marine’s last name. On the left we inserted a golden pecan stained 4×6 picture frame and a picture of SSgt Clarke and her peers. On the right we placed Recruiting Station New York’s official insignia.

On the bottom left, pinned to the bottom of the softwood is the Marine’s awards/ribbons. On the right side you notice a small message displayed. This is a personalized message from the Marine’s friends. In the center of the box you will notice a pedestal proudly displaying the Recruiting Ribbon, an award earned after successful completion of a long and fulfilling tour on Recruiting Duty.

Liquor Bottle Display Shadow Box

We call this the Bottle Display Case as it can be used with the recipient’s drink of choice. Pictured is a bottle of Jack Daniels along with the Marine Corps themed Shadow Box.

As tradition often calls, Military service members extend their gratitude to their brothers and sisters by offering personalized gifts as the service member retires and/or moves to another unit. As these Marines were leaving their respective units, we were honored to be entrusted with presenting this shadow box.

This box measures 15 x 15 and 5-1/2 inches deep. The box was stained Red Mahogany. In the background you can see the blue and red NCO blood-stripe.

Personalized Wooden Signs

Lawn Name Sign 2

We offer Personalized Wooden lawn signs you can stake on your lawn, or hang in front of your house or office. We use the State Park fonts and route the words right on the weather treated wood. We then sand/stain/paint and weather protect the sign to your liking. The signs pictured here measure 21-1/2 x 5-1/2.

“In Case of Emergency Break Glass” Liquor Bottle Display Box

We’ve made an “In Case of Emergency, Break Glass” liquor box. Lets just hope it doesn’t come down to that! Inside the box you will find a bottle of cognac, along with a drinking glass, all held in place to prevent sliding or breaking. We’ve added the recipient’s rank, a wooden name plaque, and a service emblem. We’ve then closed the box in an oak frame, all stained in red mahogany.

The front is encased in plexiglass, and we’ve added a decal that says “In case of Emergency Break Glass.” We then closed the box with two gold/brass screws. Lets hope that if they ever need to pull out the bottle and glass, they will unscrew it open instead of breaking the glass 😉

Classified Spy Box  Starter Kit

We’ve made a “Top Secret” Spy Starter kit for a Marine’s going away gift. The box contained two sets of Dynamite sticks attached. One on the front, with vinyls reading “Top Secret” and wooden dynamite sticks attached to the front.

Once opened, the box turns into two shadow boxes. On the left, we’ve added the Marine’s Recon Wings, a going away message, and a few personal jokes as requested by his peers. (apparently the guy likes to drive fast, and has an affinity for loose change). On the right side of the box we’ve added cork board to the background, and placed the spy gear starter kit.

The only thing missing is a mustache. We’ve added sunglasses, a ‘classified’ portfolio (with the names of every Marine he recruited), a fake passport, and another inside joke… a cassette that reads “Manly Tips.”

  1. Hi there. I’m interested in the Nike shoe box. I’m wondering how much and how large you can make it. He hasabout 10 nice pairs of shoes. This would be a valentines gift so we have a little time.

  2. I am interested in a custom shadow box, I need it by June 15th, or if you could do something else I have a picture of what I was thinking!

    1. Good evening and thank you for considering us for the personalized ice chests!
The price varies based on the size ordered and customization. Our typical estimate is approximately $350 for local pick up or delivery.

Are you in the CT/NY/NJ/MA area? That can help us determine the shipping cost (if it applies). Also, do you have a size or budget in mind?
