Step 1

Choose and print a photo that is slightly bigger than the size of the miniature canvas, this way you can wrap it around the canvas on all sides.

These miniature canvases are 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches so i printed out a 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 photo

Step 2

Step 2Step 2

Place your photo over your canvas and center it. Place the canvas with the photo faced down on a flat surface. Once you’ve got your photo centered on your canvas the way you want it, fold up the sides. This is going to help you place the photo back on the canvas when you’re ready to glue it in place

Step 3

Step 3

Use your pencil to mark the area where you will cut in order to be able to fold you photo over the canvas. Think of this step as if you were wrapping a present, but instead of folding the corners, you’ll be removing them instead 🙂

Step 4

Cut those corners off

While your photo is still facing down on a flat surface, brush a thin layer of glue over the canvas and place the canvas back on your photo.  Lift the canvas (picture will be glued on) and rub the photo lightly using your fingers to remove any air bubbles.

Brush glue on the sides (one side at a time) and fold the excess pieces of the photo to cover the sides of the canvas and smooth lightly with your finger.

**About 15 minutes after this step you can also brush a thin layer of mod podge/sealer over the entire photo to seal in the image.

Step 7

Once the glue dries your work is ready to be mounted on the miniature easel  and YOU’RE DONE! This miniature canvas photo makes a great and thoughtful gift for anyone.

There are so many other things that can be done with these miniature canvases, for example:
