Description
As tradition often calls, Military service members extend their gratitude to their brothers and sisters by offering personalized gifts as the service member retires and/or moves to another unit. As these Marines were leaving their respective units, we were honored to be entrusted with presenting this shadow box.
This box measures 18 x 12 and 2-1/2 inches deep. The box was stained two-tone, inside we used Golden Pecan, and on the outside we used Red Mahogany. In the background you can see the blue and red NCO blood-stripe.
We attached the Marine’s rank insignias (Captain pictured) . Centered is the Marine’s last name. On the left we inserted a set of Second Lieutenant bars for every Marine Lieutenant the Captain recruit and train for Officer Candidate School. On the right we placed Recruiting Station New York’s official Logo.
On the right side you notice a small personal message displayed. This is a personalized message from the Marine Officer’s peers. In the center of the box you will notice a pedestal proudly displaying the Recruiting Ribbon, an award earned after successful completion of a long and fulfilling tour on Recruiting Duty.
